He then attended medical school at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, receiving his M.D. in 2016. He trained in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from 2016 to 2019 and in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston 2019 to 2022.Dr. Niku is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Adult Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiac CT. His professional interests include non-invasive imaging, valvular heart disease, and onco-cardiology (the management of chronic cardiac conditions in cancer patients). During his training, he participated in research projects examining the natural history and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and amyloid heart disease.In his spare time, Dr. Niku enjoys cooking, making ice cream, and playing music.
